Sera Hathawariya Herbal Porridge is a traditional Sri Lankan dish made from a blend of indigenous herbs and grains, prominently featuring Hathawariya. This nutritious porridge is cooked with rice, coconut milk, and aromatic spices like cinnamon and cardamom. Believed to have medicinal properties, particularly for digestion and mental clarity, it's often enjoyed for breakfast or during times of illness. Sera Hathawariya Herbal Porridge is known for its comforting taste and cultural significance in Sri Lankan cuisine. No added flavours, sugar, colourings and preservatives. Store in a cool and dry place.
Ingredients : Rice, Leafy vegetable Hathawariya (Asparagus racemosus), Soya, Garlic, Coconut milk powder, Ginger.
Method of preparation :
- Step 1 - Mix the content of the pack little by little in 450 ml (3 cups) of water.
- Step 2 - Bring to a boil and keep on fire for 3 minutes while stirring continuously
- Step 3 - Add salt to taste (pepper if required) and serve hot
